In June 2023, during Art Basel, Sanlorenzo offered the international public a silent but powerful preview: the birth of Casa Sanlorenzo. A place designed not only as an exhibition space, but as a living centre for reflection, dialogue and innovation. A passion for boating and a desire to innovate were the real driving forces behind Sanlorenzo's journey towards new frontiers, culminating in the creation of Sanlorenzo Arts and Casa Sanlorenzo.
Two years later, on the occasion of the Architecture Biennale and the first edition of Venice Climate Week (3-8 June 2025), this vision is taking shape. Sanlorenzo, Main Partner of Venice Climate Week, is officially opening the doors of Casa Sanlorenzo, transforming a historic building next to the Basilica Santa Maria della Salute into a cultural space that combines art, technology and sustainability.
Since its inception, Casa Sanlorenzo has set itself the goal of building bridges between different worlds: contemporary art, environmental science and nautical design. A place designed to address the great challenges of our time – from climate change to the isolation of small coastal communities – with a holistic, conscious and regenerative approach.
Casa Sanlorenzo, which will officially open on 3 June 2025, has been designed with an innovative and sophisticated approach by the architectural firm of Piero Lissoni, who wanted to create a fluid and open environment where space blends with the Venetian context, establishing a harmonious dialogue between the past and the future.
Sanlorenzo's most advanced technological projects, such as the 50Steel with Fuel Cell system and the Bluegame hydrogen chase boat, represent a perfect synthesis of industry, culture and environmental vision.
In addition, the 50Steel ALMAX will be moored at the Zattere di San Basilio from 3 to 5 June, offering a unique opportunity to admire the shipyard's excellence in terms of layout, timeless lines, technology and sustainability.
For Sanlorenzo MED, present in the most vibrant areas of the Mediterranean – from Cannes to Palma, from Monaco to Malta – Casa Sanlorenzo is also an ideal reference point: a route that combines design with responsibility, beauty with knowledge.
